Medicine safety first

Prescription and regulated medicines are supplied only after all required checks

Placing an order is a request to purchase. It does not guarantee that a medicine will be prescribed, approved, dispensed or supplied.

Reviewed

where required before supply

Safety may require refusal

Medicines must be selected and used carefully. Always read the product label and Consumer Medicine Information where supplied, follow the directions of your doctor or pharmacist, and seek professional advice when you are unsure whether a product is suitable.

1

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to medicines and medicine-related products offered through https://hrpharmacyus.com/, including prescription medicines, pharmacist-only medicines, pharmacy medicines, general-sale medicines and complementary medicines where available.

Product availability, professional review, dispensing and delivery may also be subject to federal and state laws, professional standards, supplier conditions and the requirements of any pharmacy or health professional involved in the service.

2

Medical advice disclaimer

General information on our website is provided for education and product information. It is not a diagnosis, prescription, treatment plan or substitute for individual advice from a qualified doctor, pharmacist or other appropriate health professional.

Do not delay seeking professional care, stop a prescribed medicine or change a dose solely because of information displayed on this website. Follow the instructions given by your treating health professional and the approved directions supplied with the medicine.

Emergency: If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency or a serious reaction, call emergency services on 000 in the United States or seek urgent medical care.
3

Types of medicines

The conditions applying to a product depend on its legal classification and level of risk.

  • Prescription medicines: require a valid prescription or another lawful authority before dispensing.
  • Pharmacist-only or pharmacy medicines: may require questions, advice or direct pharmacist involvement before supply.
  • General-sale medicines: may be purchased without a prescription but must still be used according to the label.
  • Complementary medicines: may include vitamins, minerals, herbal or other listed products and can still cause side effects or interactions.
4

Prescription medicines

Prescription-only medicines will not be supplied without a valid prescription or other lawful authority that meets all applicable requirements. A prescription may be written, printed, electronic or otherwise provided in an accepted legal format.

We or the dispensing pharmacy may need the original prescription, an electronic prescription token, refill authorisation or additional prescriber information before dispensing. A screenshot, altered document or incomplete prescription may not be accepted.

A prescription issued for one person cannot be used to obtain medicine for another person. We may contact the patient, prescriber or authorised representative to confirm information.

5

Professional review and the right to refuse supply

Where required, a pharmacist, prescriber or other authorised health professional may review the medicine request, prescription, medicine history, allergies, dose, interactions, intended use and other relevant safety information.

Supply may be delayed, limited, refused or cancelled when reasonably necessary because:

  • the prescription is invalid, expired, incomplete, altered, unclear or cannot be verified;
  • the medicine appears unsuitable, unsafe, duplicated or inconsistent with lawful directions;
  • required clinical, identity, age, location or eligibility information has not been provided;
  • the requested quantity, frequency or pattern raises a safety, misuse or diversion concern;
  • the product is unavailable, recalled, restricted or cannot lawfully be supplied; or
  • professional judgment or a legal obligation requires refusal.

When an order is refused or cancelled, any amount paid for an unsupplied item will be handled in accordance with the payment method, our refund process and applicable law.

6

Identity, age and eligibility checks

We may require reasonable evidence of identity, age, address, insurance or benefit-plan status, patient details, authority to act for another person, or other eligibility information where relevant to lawful and safe supply.

Information must be accurate, current and consistent with the prescription and order. We may use secure verification providers or request additional documentation. An order may remain on hold or be cancelled if verification cannot be completed.

7

Information you must provide

You are responsible for providing complete and truthful information relevant to safe supply, including where requested:

  • your correct name, date of birth, contact details and delivery address;
  • allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding status and relevant health conditions;
  • other prescription, non-prescription, herbal or complementary medicines you use;
  • the intended patient and any authority to order or collect on their behalf;
  • prescription, prescriber, dosage and refill information; and
  • any recent changes that may affect the medicine's suitability.

Failure to disclose relevant information may delay the order or create a serious health risk. Contact a health professional promptly if information changes after an order is placed.

8

Availability, brands and substitutions

Medicine availability may change because of stock levels, wholesaler supply, shortages, recalls, allocation limits or regulatory restrictions. Displaying a medicine on the website does not guarantee that it can be supplied.

A different brand, pack size, strength or formulation will not be supplied unless the change is lawful, clinically appropriate and authorised or accepted where required. We may contact you or the prescriber before making a permitted substitution.

Product images are illustrative. Packaging, colour, manufacturer or labelling can change without affecting the approved medicine inside the package.

9

Safe use and customer responsibilities

  • Read the label, warnings, dosage instructions and Consumer Medicine Information supplied with the medicine.
  • Use the medicine only for the intended patient and only as directed.
  • Do not share prescription medicines or provide them to another person.
  • Do not use a medicine after its expiry date or if packaging is damaged, opened or appears tampered with.
  • Keep medicines away from children, pets and anyone for whom they were not intended.
  • Ask a pharmacist or doctor before combining medicines, supplements, alcohol or other substances when interactions may occur.
  • Use an appropriate medicine-return service for unwanted or expired medicines rather than placing them in household rubbish or drains.
10

Storage and handling

Store each medicine exactly as stated on its label or packaging. Storage requirements may include protection from heat, moisture, sunlight or freezing, and some medicines may require refrigeration or other temperature control.

You are responsible for moving a delivered parcel into appropriate storage promptly. Do not use a temperature-sensitive medicine if you believe it has been left outside required storage conditions or if its integrity is uncertain. Contact us or a pharmacist for instructions.

11

Medicine delivery

Medicine orders are processed only after payment and all required prescription, identity, professional and compliance checks are complete. Processing time is separate from carrier delivery time.

Certain medicines may require tracked delivery, signature, age or identity confirmation, delivery to an approved address, temperature-controlled handling or collection by the named patient or authorised representative. Safe-drop or redirection may be unavailable for some products.

Delivery charges and general parcel conditions are explained in our separate Medicine Policy. Medicine safety requirements take priority where they conflict with ordinary delivery preferences.

12

Restricted, controlled and high-risk medicines

Some medicines are subject to stricter prescribing, dispensing, quantity, refill, identification, storage or delivery controls. They may not be available through online ordering or may require an in-person assessment, direct pharmacy contact or additional documentation.

We do not guarantee access to any restricted medicine. Attempts to obtain medicines through false information, altered prescriptions, impersonation, excessive ordering or suspected diversion may result in cancellation, account restriction and referral to relevant professionals or authorities where lawful.

13

Repeats, prescription validity and ongoing treatment

A refill can be dispensed only while the prescription and refill authorisation remain valid and all legal timing, quantity and professional requirements are satisfied. A previous supply or website order history does not create an entitlement to another supply.

You are responsible for arranging a new prescription or clinical review before your current prescription/refill authorization expires. Do not wait until medicine has run out, particularly for ongoing treatment. Availability and dispatch times cannot be guaranteed.

14

Side effects, adverse events and emergencies

Any medicine can cause side effects. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you experience an unexpected effect, have concerns about interactions, take the wrong dose or believe a medicine is not working as expected.

For serious symptoms or an emergency, call 000 in the United States or seek urgent medical care. Do not rely on email, website chat or an ordinary customer-service message for urgent medical assistance.

Suspected adverse events or product problems can also be reported to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration through its adverse-event reporting service.

15

Recalls, safety alerts and medicine shortages

If a medicine is affected by a recall, product alert, correction, quarantine or other safety action, follow the instructions issued by us, the supplier, manufacturer, pharmacy, health professional or regulator. Do not stop an important medicine unless the notice or your health professional tells you to do so.

We may use available order and contact information to notify affected customers. Keep your account and contact details current. Current U.S. drug-safety information is available through the FDA's safety and shortages resources.

During a shortage, supply may be delayed, limited, substituted where lawfully authorised or cancelled. Your doctor or pharmacist can advise whether an appropriate alternative is available.

16

Medicine returns, exchanges and refunds

For health, hygiene, tamper-evidence and storage-integrity reasons, a medicine generally cannot be returned for resale or exchange merely because you changed your mind, ordered the wrong item, no longer need it or failed to use it before expiry, particularly after dispatch.

Contact us promptly and do not use the product if a medicine is incorrect, damaged, defective, contaminated, tampered with, recalled, materially different from its description or otherwise subject to a remedy under law. Keep the medicine, packaging, batch details and photographs until we provide instructions.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable U.S. federal and state consumer protection laws. Depending on the issue, an available remedy may include replacement, refund or another appropriate solution.

Safe disposal: Do not send unwanted medicine through ordinary post unless we specifically instruct you to do so. Ask a local pharmacy about an approved medicine-return or disposal service.
17

Health information and privacy

Medicine orders may involve personal and sensitive health information. We may collect, use and disclose relevant information to process an order, verify a prescription, support dispensing, arrange delivery, respond to safety concerns, manage recalls and comply with legal or professional obligations.

Relevant information may be shared with authorised pharmacies, pharmacists, prescribers, health professionals, payment providers, delivery services, technology providers or regulators where necessary and lawful. Our separate Privacy Policy explains our broader information-handling practices.

18

Website medicine information and advertising

Product descriptions, availability and general health information may change. Always rely on the current label, approved product information, Consumer Medicine Information and advice from your health professional.

We do not intend website content to encourage inappropriate self-diagnosis, medicine misuse or the unlawful supply of prescription-only medicines. Access to product details may be limited where required by U.S. FDA and applicable advertising rules.

You can check U.S. drug and health-product information through the FDA Drugs@FDA database and obtain professional advice about whether a medicine is appropriate for you.

19

Changes to this policy

We may update this Medicine Policy to reflect changes to products, pharmacy arrangements, technology, professional standards, safety information or legal requirements. The current version will be published on this page with an updated date.
